In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable and reliable data solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners driving technical innovation, and mentoring a team of talented engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data systems, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex data projects at scale.\n\nResponsibilities\nIn this role, you’ll:\nServe as a subject matter expert in distributed systems, data technologies, with strong software engineering skills \nArchitect and implement scalable and efficient data systems, storage solutions, and processing frameworks using state-of-the-art technologies.\nDrive technical innovation and research to stay at the forefront of emerging data technologies and best practices.\nMentor and coach a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.\nEnsure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.\n\nQualifications \nNot all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!\n\nRequired:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n8+ years of software development experience, with a focus on data infrastructure.\nProven track record of architecting and delivering complex, large-scale data projects.\nStrong expertise in big data components such as Kafka, Clickhouse, Spark and other distributed computing systems.\nStrong expertise with orchestrating, scaling, and managing containerized applications in production environments using Kubernetes (K8s) and Terraform/Helm.\nExperience designing, building, and operating large-scale data platforms on cloud computing systems like AWS.\nProficiency in Python, Java, Bash, and Go with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical roadmaps and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.\nProven leadership experience in mentoring and developing engineers.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high-impact results.\n\nDesired\nKnowledge of tying into various authorization/authentication systems.\nNetworking and network security knowledge.\nDeep expertise in Clickhouse: demonstrated experience in architecting, tuning, and operating Clickhouse at scale.\n\nLocation\nThis role will be remote, and based in the United States.
