This role will offer you the scope for growth and the tools to aim high.\nThe Procurement Capabilities and Programmes Manager is responsible for driving capability development across the global Procurement function, now and for the future.\nThe role will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Procurement capability frameworks, performance standards, development of career pathways and the delivery of learning programmes, ensuring the organisation has the knowledge, skills, behaviours and capabilities required to deliver its strategic objectives\nKey Responsibilities\nCapability Strategy\nDevelop and maintain the global Procurement Capability Framework, conducting periodic reviews to ensure the standards remain relevant. \nDefine capability knowledge, skills and behavioural standards for all Procurement job families. \nDevelop competency profiles for every Procurement role\nMonitor external trends, professional standards and identify emerging capability needs, translating them into updates to frameworks, programmes and learning priorities.\nSupport talent reviews and succession planning through capability insights. Develop and maintain a Procurement Excellence knowledge management capability for the wider Procurement team to access \nCapability Assessment\nOwn the end-to-end Procurement competency assessment process, coordinating capability assessments across the global Procurement organisation. \nEnsure consistency of assessment methodology across all regions. \nManage relationships with external capability assessment providers where applicable. \nOwn the governance and prioritisation of the capability programme roadmap, including dependences, risks, resources, milestones and benefits.\nAnalyse assessment outcomes to identify capability strengths and organisational gaps, Produce capability reports and recommendations for Procurement Leadership. \nCareer and Talent Learning & Development\nDesign and maintain structured development pathways for all Procurement career levels, ensuring alignment between capability expectations and career progression. \nDevelop learning curricula based on capability assessment outcomes using the 70:20:10 learning methodology, recommending resources and materials that enable professionals plan and execute their learning journeys. \nLead change management and adoption activity for new capability frameworks, learning programmes including stakeholder communications and reinforcement plans.\nEstablish programme success measures and benefits-realisation reviews to demonstrate improved capability, application of learning and business impact. \nPartner with internal subject matter experts and external providers, to coordinate technical, behavioural and leadership development programmes. \nMonitor the effectiveness of learning interventions and promote a culture of continuous learning across Procurement. Development communities of practice, mentoring and peer-learning networks to strengthen knowledge sharing across regions and retain critical organisational knowledge. \nPartner with HR to integrate procurement capability requirements into recruitment, onboarding, talent reviews, succession planning and career development processes.\n Knowledge Management\nDesign a Knowledge Management methodology that promotes accessible ways of learning across the global Procurement team, aligning with strategic outcomes\nIdentify, capture and organise critical knowledge as part of the procurement lifecycle, process and systems workflow. \n Identify knowledge gaps for Procurement and business users and provide recommendations for closure\n Identify, capture and organise implicit knowledge for continuous improvement for procurement knowledge retention.\nLead change management and adoption activity for new knowledge management practices, including stakeholder communications and reinforcement plans. \nMaintain oversight of digital learning and knowledge management platforms, including content ownership, accessibility, user experience, usage analytics and continuous improvement.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nEssential\nSignificant experience in Procurement, Procurement Excellence, or Capability Development. \nExperience developing competency frameworks, capability models and knowledge management methodology. \nExperience implementing organisational performance improvement initiatives. \nStrong analytical and data interpretation skills. \nExcellent project and programme management skills. \nExperience working in global, matrix organisations. \nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills. \nExcellent communication and presentation skills. \n Desirable\nProcurement category management experience. \nExperience with competency assessment methodologies. \nKnowledge of performance management frameworks. \nExperience working with external capability providers (e.g. Positive Purchasing). \nExperience using Workday or similar HR and Learning platforms. \nContinuous Improvement certification (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent). \nBenefits\nYearly bonus based on personal contribution and financial performance \nFlexible working options \n25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and the option to buy and sell holidays \nOnsite Gym and Wellbeing Centre (Andover) \nPerkbox -
