the Role : \n\nWe are looking for a Jira Workflow Engineer with 7-12 years of experience to design and manage complex workflows across the organization.\n\nRequirements : \n\n- 5+ years of Jira administration and workflow development experience, including custom workflow schemes, permission schemes, and screen/field configuration.\n\n- Demonstrated experience building approval-chain workflows spanning multiple departments.\n\n- Experience designing SDLC workflows in Jira for engineering teams (epic/story/task hierarchies, sprint boards, release/deployment gates, code-review and QA sign-off states, bug/incident linkage).\n\n- Experience designing compliance-specific workflows (audit evidence capture, policy exception requests, control-attestation cycles, access-recertification cadences).\n\n- Experience with Jira automation rules, and integration of Jira with identity/access systems (e.g., JumpCloud, SSO providers), CI/CD tools, and notification systems.\n\n- Exposure to AI-driven process optimization (e.g., AI-assisted triage, auto-routing, summarization, or approval-recommendation).\n\n- Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) forms and intake design for non-technical requesters.\n\n- Understanding of access-governance and least-privilege principles.\n\n- Healthcare or regulated-industry experience preferred.\n\nResponsibilities : \n\n- Design and build the New Employee Onboarding workflow : role-based access provisioning, cross-functional sign-off, audit trail.\n\n- Design and build the Internal Access Request and Approval workflow, including escalation paths and SLA tracking.\n\n- Design and build the Vendor (B2B) Onboarding and Approval workflow, including risk/compliance sign-off and hand-off to Legal.\n\n- Design and build a standard SDLC workflow for engineering teams : backlog to sprint to code review to QA to release, with defined transition gates and defect/incident linkage.\n\n- Design and build compliance-team workflows : audit evidence requests, control attestations, policy exceptions, periodic access recertification structured for audit defensibility.\nSkills\nJira, Workflows, JQL, SDLC,
