In this role, you will lead cross-functional process improvements, oversee sales and project management operations, establish commercial reporting standards, and partner with executive leadership to drive scalable growth and an insights-driven sales approach.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nManage Commercial Operations team consisting of Customer Master Data Specialist, Process Improvement, Sales Operation, Business Management, and Project Management Teams.\nLead cross-functional process improvements projects (pricing strategy, discount governance, contracting) and implement new process (i.e., multi-currency and Distributor Flow enhancement).\nCreate a center of excellence for Commercial Reporting.\nDevelop and implement strategic plans to improve performance in all aspects of Commercial Operations.\nPartner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate new technology that could improve sales and marketing operations.\nStructure, develop, and implement scalable process and procedures to implement an insights-driven commercial approach and top-tier Customer engagement.\nParticipate in hiring, training, and ongoing coaching of leadership staff to ensure execution of sales performance.\nConducts sales performance reviews on a regular schedule.\nPartners with HR in all employee relation activities including Process Improvement plans, coaching, steps of discipline and termination.\nDetermining staffing needs based on workload requirements and recruiting and hiring staff accordingly.\nAvailable as resource and mentor to leadership and team members.\nAssess whether current sales strategies are sufficient for meeting company sales goals.\nSupport lead governance and handoff process from Digital Marketing, ISS, and Field Sales to ensure smooth handoff and reporting capability.\nCollaborate cross-organizationally to create a robust performance and opportunity metrics that the Executive Team will use to make informed decisions surrounding commercial and go-to-market strategy.\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\nDegree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field\n10+ years of progressive commercial and technical experience in the life sciences/biotech space \n5+ years in managerial and supervisory roles leading cross-functional teams. \nDemonstrated expertise in sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, CRM systems (Salesforce), commercial analytics, and process improvement within a fast-paced B2B environment.\nTwist Bioscience is a leading synthetic biology and genomics company that has developed a disruptive DNA synthesis platform to industrialize the engineering of biology.
