This role leads the engineering team responsible for 24/7 stability, performance, and scalability across our CI/CD pipelines and core development platforms. You will combine technical expertise and operational leadership to drive continuous delivery and platform reliability.\nAbout the Team\nDeveloper Productivity Team,This team is primarily responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes across the organization. With a diverse group of about 30 professionals located both in the US and India, the team's culture is built on collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance. Their mission is to deliver innovative developer productivity solutions that empower over 3,000 developers within Nutanix to achieve their goals with increased speed and minimal friction.\nYou will report to the Engineering Manager, who is known for their supportive and empowering leadership style. They focus on fostering an environment where team members can thrive, encouraging open communication and collaboration to achieve shared goals. This role is based onsite, and the new hire will be expected to work in the office full-time, ensuring close collaboration with the team and stakeholders.\nYour Role\nTeam Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on Developer Productivity Operations, CI/CD systems, and developer enablement platforms.\nInfrastructure & Platform Ownership: Own performance and reliability for core tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gerrit, and repository services.\nOperational Excellence: Maintain 99.9%+ uptime across environments while defining and tracking team SLAs, KPIs, and system metrics.\nAutomation & Pipeline Optimization: Drive continuous automation initiatives across environments to eliminate manual processes and increase system resilience.\nIncident & Governance Oversight: Direct incident response efforts, execute root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.\nCross-Functional Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues (requiring occasional off-hours availability) and partner across engineering, security, and platform teams.\nWhat You Will Bring\nLeadership: Experience managing or leading technical teams within modern DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure environments.\nTechnical Proficiency: Broad experience with enterprise repository, artifact, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Gerrit, and Artifactory.\nOperational Focus: Proven ability to manage high-availability infrastructure environments and uphold strict SLAs/KPIs.\nContinuous Improvement: High proficiency with driving continuous improvement and system resilience through rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews.\nStrategic Evaluation: Track record of evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to improve the software delivery ecosystem.\nWork Arrangement\nHybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.\nThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $147,000 and USD $294,000 per year.\nHowever, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
