Finally, the company tries to deviate from having hierarchical titles to a system more focused on performance and personal preference. \nWe are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Mclean, VA location. The individual in this role will be responsible for delivery of customer-focused IT projects. The individual will work closely with project managers and various software engineering, infrastructure, and technical operations teams to assess requirements, coordinate resources, and deliver projects for the customer. S/he will apply expertise in Agile project management processes to support program development, integration, and operation of the customer’s IT infrastructure (i.e., full systems lifecycle of the IT infrastructure).\nThe ideal candidate will have experience performing industry-standard Agile Project Management tasks and tailoring standard process lifecycles to function effectively in a small, fast-paced environment. S/he must have strong written and verbal individual and organizational communication skills and the ability to articulate technical project requirements to both customers and internal teams.\nWhat you will do \nFacilitate scrum ceremonies and communicate with stakeholders.\nCoordinate development of deliverables and products.\nManage multiple medium- to large-scale projects through all sprints/iterations and phases of the project\nOrganize and facilitate sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related events\nTrack and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management\nPartner with product owners, Agile coaches, and scrum teams to develop user stories and acceptance criteria definition, facilitate the definition of minimal viable product, and lead continuous refinement and prioritization of the product backlog\nAssist the team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition\nAssist with removal of obstacles that may hinder the team’s ability to deliver assigned goals\nUpdate Agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs\nPromote continuous improvement and help teams increase velocity\nPromote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation\nAbility to communicate, influence, and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication\nPrepare and present program status reports and briefings to outside stakeholders\nWhat you will need:\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience as a Scrum Master for multiple teams \n\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience organizing and facilitating sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related events\n\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience using Jira to plan and track projects, including development of dashboards, boards, projects, and user stories\n\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience effectively communicating across programs and with customers, stakeholders, and other contractors\n\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience sharing knowledge and learning from others to ensure the team’s success\n\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience managing priorities across multiple projects (time management)\n\nNice to haves:\nDemonstrated on-the-job experience in project management fundamentals using approved tools and techniques for the execution of IT activities (e.g., scheduling, execution, and monitoring/controlling)\nExperience working within a technical environment handling either multiple software development projects or exceptionally large volumes of data\nExperience with creating and successfully implementing strategy for customer organizations\nSecurity Clearance:\nActive TS/SCI w.
