You will manage a small team of staff, developing operational and technical requirements into effective curriculum, hands-on exercises, and reliable range capabilities. Both training and range operations are core responsibilities, with their relative emphasis varying by training needs. The role combines training leadership with practical systems, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure work. \nThis is an onsite role based in our Two Six Technologies office at Laurel, Maryland, with approximately 5% customer and/or other-site travel.\nResponsibilities:\nManage and mentor one to two staff or senior personnel responsible for training and cyber range activities\nDevelop, maintain, and deliver technical training curriculum for in-person audiences\nTranslate customer and mission requirements into learning objectives, course materials, exercises, and assessments\nPlan and conduct training sessions, incorporating feedback and measured learning outcomes to improve the curriculum\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot the cyber range and its supporting systems\nBuild and maintain realistic network and cyber operations scenarios using virtualization and infrastructure automation\nTest and validate hardware and software solutions before integrating them into training or range environments\nDocument operating procedures, training materials, system configurations, and recurring maintenance activities\nCoordinate with customers, technical teams, and instructors to schedule, prepare, and execute training events\nQualifications:\n7+ years of overall experience in cyber operations, IT, systems engineering, or technical operations\n1+ year of experience developing and delivering technical training, instruction, or curriculum\nDemonstrated experience operating and maintaining a cyber range or comparable virtualized training or test environment\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and learners\nExperience operating and troubleshooting Linux-based systems and virtualized environments\nWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals and the ability to configure or troubleshoot networked systems\nFamiliarity with container technologies such as Docker and Docker Compose\nExperience using Ansible for configuration management or infrastructure automation\nExperience supervising or leading a small technical team, including setting priorities and coaching staff\nActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or access (TS/SCI)\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox or OpenStack\n2+ years of experience coding and scripting in Python and Bash\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Packer\nDatacenter operations experience, including planning, installing, cabling, or maintaining network and compute hardware\nExperience configuring routers and switches from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba\nExperience with network security monitoring tools such as Security Onion\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered\nSecurity Clearance Requirements: \nActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or access (TS/SCI)\nTwo Six Technologies is committed to providing competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect the value we place on our employees and their contributions.
