This role will work closely with Engineering and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into practical, user-friendly GIS solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nGIS Application Development\nDesign, configure, develop, test, and maintain GIS-based web and mobile applications.\nDevelop solutions using Esri tools including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, and Survey123.\nConfigure web maps, applications, forms, dashboards, and user workflows to support Engineering and operational needs.\nParticipate in the application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.\nImprove usability and user experience across GIS applications.\nGIS Data & Integration\nCreate, maintain, and manage spatial datasets, feature services, geodatabases, and related GIS content.\nSupport integration of GIS data with other systems and data sources, including CAD, BIM, asset management, and enterprise business systems.\nDevelop and maintain data conversion and ETL workflows.\nPerform data validation, quality assurance, and data cleanup.\nSupport GIS data standards, governance, and documentation.\nGIS Automation\nDevelop scripts and tools to automate repetitive GIS and data-management processes.\nUse tools such as Python, ArcPy, Arcade, ModelBuilder, REST APIs, or FME as appropriate.\nSupport automated data updates, synchronization, geoprocessing, and reporting workflows.\nGIS Platform Support\nSupport the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of ArcGIS Enterprise and related GIS infrastructure.\nAssist with migration of GIS applications, services, and data between development, test, and production environments.\nTroubleshoot application, data, and system issues and coordinate resolutions with internal technology teams.\nDocument system configurations, workflows, applications, and technical changes.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nApproximately 8-10+years of professional GIS experience.\nHands-on GIS practitioner\nHands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and/or ArcGIS Enterprise.\nDemonstrated ability to create and configure Esri-based GIS applications.\nExperience developing web maps, dashboards, forms, or GIS applications using tools such as Experience Builder, Field Maps, Survey123, or similar Esri products.\nExperience working with geodatabases, feature services, spatial data, and GIS data management.\nBasic experience with GIS scripting, automation, or data-processing tools.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nThe following experience is beneficial but not required:\nExperience with Python, ArcPy, Arcade, ModelBuilder, REST APIs, or FME.\nExperience integrating GIS with CAD, BIM, asset management, IoT, or other enterprise systems.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D data and GIS/CAD interoperability.\nExperience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments and application migrations.\nFamiliarity with cloud-hosted GIS environments such as Microsoft Azure.\nExperience with JavaScript or Esri ArcGIS APIs.\nExperience working in transportation, infrastructure, utilities, engineering, aviation, or port environments.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on GIS practitioner who enjoys building practical solutions and improving existing workflows. The role does not require a senior GIS architect or highly specialized software developer.
