Ideal for an accounting professional with strong Excel skills and a passion for delivering accurate financial information in a fast-paced insurance environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonth-End and General Ledger Support\nSupport month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.\nMaintain general ledger journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.\nReview and analyse expense allocations, ensuring correct and accurate general ledger coding in line with the chart of accounts.\nReconcile accounts as required.\nReporting and Compliance\nAssist in the prepration of financial reporting, profit and loss, balance sheet etc.\nAssist with preparation of BAS, IAS and FBT returns\nAnalysis and Continuous Support\nConduct ad hoc financial analysis.\nUndertake other position-related duties as required\nRequirements\nEssential\nDegree qualification in Accounting.\nMinimum of 5 years' Australian accounting experience.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles.\nExperience preparing BAS and PAYG supporting information for review is highly regarded\nInsurance industry background is a plus.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong numerical and analytical skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong communication skills.\nStrong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.\nMust be willing to work fully onsite.
