This is a hands-on role responsible for financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, project billing, reconciliations, compliance, and month-end activities.\nWorking closely with the Directors and external accountants, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting business decisions through reporting and analysis, and ensuring payroll and compliance obligations are met.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Operations\nManage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.\nOversee project billing, client invoicing, monthly statements, and debtor management.\nProcess supplier payments, expense claims, and maintain accurate financial records.\nManage purchase orders and monitor outstanding commitments.\nPayroll & Compliance\nProcess fortnightly Australian payroll, including leave management, superannuation, STP, PAYG, payroll tax, and workers' compensation requirements.\nEnsure compliance with relevant Australian Awards, classifications, pay rates, allowances, and employee entitlements.\nComplete payroll reconciliations and support year-end payroll processes.\nReconciliations & Reporting\nPerform bank, credit card, payroll, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.\nCoordinate month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.\nPrepare management reports, departmental P&Ls, project profitability reports, and budget variance analysis.\nAssist with cash flow forecasting and budgeting activities.\nFinance Support & Process Improvement\nSupport tax and compliance reporting in partnership with external accountants.\nAssist with year-end reporting, audit preparation, and R&D claim documentation.\nProvide finance support across related entities where required.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes and support the coordination of routine finance activities.\nRequirements\nAbout You\nDegree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years' accounting experience, including strong exposure to Australian finance functions.\nDemonstrated experience across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.\nStrong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, STP, superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and compliance requirements.\nExperience supporting multiple entities, intercompany transactions and loan reconciliations.\nExperience preparing management reports and working alongside external accountants.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.\nHighly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience using MYOB and Monday.com.\nBackground within a consultancy, professional services, or project-based environment.\nExperience supporting multiple entities and intercompany transactions.\nCPA or CA qualification, or currently working towards completion.\nBenefits\nWhy Join Twoconnect?\nWe offer more than just a job - we offer a supportive and rewarding career experience.
