The role will develop architectural and design concepts into practical working, manufacturing and installation drawings while coordinating closely with designers, workshop teams, project teams and site personnel to ensure drawings are accurate, buildable and suitable for production and installation.\nProduce accurate, detailed and scaled technical drawings using AutoCAD and other approved CAD software.\nDevelop architects’ and designers’ concepts into detailed working drawings for commercial fit-out and joinery projects.\nPrepare manufacturing, construction and installation drawings and supporting documentation.\nModify existing drawings to incorporate design changes, site information and stakeholder feedback.\nPrepare drawing packages for tender, approval, manufacture and site installation.\nComplete dimensions, calculations, annotations and technical details accurately.\nMaintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and supporting project documentation.\nLiaise with architects and designers to clarify design intent and technical requirements.\nWork with the Design Team to resolve CAD, engineering and constructability challenges.\nProvide clear technical information to workshop, manufacturing, construction and installation teams.\nCoordinate drawings with relevant architectural, engineering and site information.\nWork with project and site teams to incorporate practical manufacturing and installation requirements into drawings.\nIdentify drawing conflicts, missing information and potential design issues and escalate them promptly.\nCheck drawings for accuracy, completeness and consistency before issue.\nReview colleagues’ drawings where required to support quality control.\nEnsure drawings comply with relevant industry, health and safety and company standards.\nManage multiple drawing packages and priorities against project deadlines.\nRespond promptly to design revisions and short-notice drawing changes.\nMaintain clear communication with the Design Team regarding progress, risks and outstanding information.\nContribute to continuous improvement across drawing standards, templates and design processes.\nOther position-level duties as they arise.\nRequirements\nA bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, Drafting Technology or a related discipline is essential.\nPrevious experience as a CAD Technician, Draftsperson or in a similar technical drawing role is essential.\nStrong practical proficiency in AutoCAD and computer-aided design software is essential.\nDemonstrated experience producing detailed technical, manufacturing, construction or installation drawings is essential.\nAbility to accurately interpret architectural, engineering and design documentation is essential.\nKnowledge of engineering principles and technical drawing conventions is essential.\nStrong mathematical skills and the ability to complete dimensions, calculations and estimates accurately are essential.\nAbility to identify technical challenges and develop practical drawing solutions is essential.\nHigh attention to detail and a strong commitment to drawing accuracy and quality are essential.\nStrong organisational and time-management skills are essential.\nAbility to manage multiple drawing packages and work to tight project deadlines is essential.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary teams involving architects, designers, engineers and project personnel is essential.\nConfidence, self-motivation and the ability to respond flexibly to changing project requirements are essential.\nCAD experience within commercial fit-out, specialist joinery or interior construction is highly regarded.\nExperience preparing drawings for bespoke joinery manufacture and installation is highly regarded.\nKnowledge of joinery materials, construction methods, hardware and finishes is highly regarded.\nExperience working with workshop, manufacturing and site installation teams is highly regarded.\nUnderstanding of UK construction practices, drawing standards and health and safety requirements is highly regarded.\nExperience supporting projects across workplace, retail, hospitality, leisure or heritage sectors is highly regarded.\nBenefits\nWhy Join Twoconnect?\nWe offer more than just a job - we offer a supportive and rewarding career experience.
