The role will interpret technical drawings, develop CNC programs and nesting layouts using CAM software, optimise material utilisation, and collaborate with production and drafting teams to ensure manufacturing accuracy and efficiency.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, design files, and manufacturing requirements.\nPrepare and validate CNC programs using CAM software such as PEP, Boost, Amada, or similar platforms.\nDevelop and optimise nesting layouts to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.\nPerform pre-programming and post-programming checks to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications.\nPrepare and maintain material records, including stock, remnants, consignment, and order sheets.\nPrioritise programming tasks according to production schedules, deadlines, and manufacturing requirements.\nCollaborate with production, drafting, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve programming efficiency and production processes.\nRequirements\nDemonstrated experience in CNC programming within sheet-metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar environment.\nStrong ability to interpret technical drawings, design files, and manufacturing specifications.\nHands-on experience with CAM programming software, such as PEP, Boost, Amada, or equivalent.\nStrong understanding of CNC programming principles, nesting, and material optimisation.\nExperience programming laser, punch, and press equipment.\nExcellent attention to detail, problem-solving, organisation, and time-management skills, with the ability to meet production deadlines independently.\nStrong communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office; 3+ years of CNC programming or machine operation experience, relevant trade qualifications, and computer modelling software experience are highly regarded.\nBenefits\nWe offer more than just a job - we offer a supportive and rewarding career experience.
