day-to-day IT operations of the Kapeeka factory , ensuring reliable, secure and efficient IT infrastructure and services to support factory operations, administration, warehouse, production, finance, HR and other business functions.\n\nThe role will supervise local IT support activities, manage hardware and network infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain IT systems and coordinate with the central IT team and external service providers to ensure uninterrupted business operations.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nIT Infrastructure & Network Management\n\nSupervise the installation, configuration and maintenance of the site’s IT infrastructure.\n\nMaintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls and network equipment .\n\nMonitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.\n\nEnsure reliable internet connectivity across offices, warehouse and factory areas.\n\nSupport network expansion as new production and operational areas are commissioned.\n\nCoordinate with internet service providers and other technology vendors.\n\nMaintain accurate network diagrams, equipment records and configuration documentation.\n\nHardware & User Support\n\nProvide day-to-day technical support to employees at the factory.\n\nInstall, configure and maintain:\n\nDesktop computers\n\nLaptops\n\nPrinters and scanners\n\nNetwork devices\n\nServers and related IT equipment\n\nOther IT peripherals.\n\nDiagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.\n\nManage IT equipment allocation, replacement and maintenance.\n\nMaintain an updated inventory of IT assets.\n\nEnsure IT equipment is properly configured and secured before being issued to users.\n\nSystems & Application Support\n\nSupport users with company ERP and other business applications.\n\nProvide first-level technical support for SAP/ERP-related user access and system issues , where applicable.\n\nCoordinate with system administrators or central IT for issues requiring escalation.\n\nSupport factory-related digital systems and applications.\n\nAssist in testing and implementation of new IT systems and applications.\n\nEnsure users have appropriate system access based on their roles and authorization.\n\nIT Security & Access Management\n\nImplement and monitor basic IT security controls at the factory.\n\nManage user accounts, passwords and access rights in accordance with company policies.\n\nEnsure computers and systems are protected against malware and other security threats.\n\nMonitor unauthorized access attempts and report security incidents.\n\nEnsure regular antivirus, operating system and security updates.\n\nSupport implementation of company cybersecurity policies.\n\nConduct basic user awareness on cybersecurity, password security, phishing and responsible use of IT resources.\n\nEscalate suspected cybersecurity incidents promptly to the IT Manager.\n\nCCTV, Access Control & Security Technology Support\n\nProvide technical support for CCTV, access-control systems and other security-related technology .\n\nMonitor the operational status of CCTV and related equipment.\n\nCoordinate with security personnel and external vendors when technical issues arise.\n\nMaintain proper records of security-system equipment and maintenance.\n\nSupport installation and commissioning of additional surveillance and access-control equipment as the factory expands.\n\nBackup & Data Protection\n\nSupport implementation of regular data backup procedures.\n\nMonitor backup status for systems and critical business data under the site’s responsibility.\n\nAssist with data recovery when required.\n\nEnsure appropriate storage and protection of company data.\n\nEscalate backup failures or potential data-loss risks immediately.\n\nIT Operations & Maintenance\n\nConduct routine inspection of IT equipment and infrastructure.\n\nMaintain preventive maintenance schedules for IT assets.\n\nCoordinate repairs and maintenance with approved vendors.\n\nEnsure IT systems remain operational during factory production activities.\n\nRespond promptly to critical IT incidents that may affect business operations.\n\nMaintain records of IT incidents, resolutions and recurring problems.\n\nIT Project & Factory Setup Support\n\nSupport the IT setup and commissioning of new factory facilities.\n\nParticipate in planning and implementation of:\n\nNetwork infrastructure\n\nServer and storage systems\n\nInternet connectivity\n\nCCTV\n\nAccess control\n\nMeeting-room technology\n\nComputers and printers\n\nFactory digital systems.\n\nWork closely with construction, engineering, production and administration teams during IT infrastructure deployment.\n\nCoordinate with contractors and technology suppliers during installation and commissioning.\n\nIT Vendor & Service Provider Management\n\nCoordinate with approved IT vendors and service providers.\n\nFollow up on equipment repairs, maintenance and service requests.\n\nMonitor vendor service quality and response times.\n\nAssist with obtaining quotations and technical specifications for IT equipment where required.\n\nEnsure vendor activities comply with company requirements.\n\nIT Documentation & Reporting\n\nMaintain accurate records of:\n\nIT assets\n\nUser accounts\n\nNetwork equipment\n\nSoftware licenses\n\nIT incidents\n\nMaintenance activities\n\nVendor services\n\nIT projects.\n\nPrepare regular IT status reports for management.\n\nTrack unresolved IT issues and ensure timely closure.\n\nMaintain appropriate technical documentation and operating procedures.\n\nTeam Supervision\n\nSupervise and coordinate local IT support staff, technicians or outsourced IT personnel where applicable.\n\nAllocate daily tasks and monitor completion.\n\nProvide technical guidance and coaching to junior IT personnel.\n\nEnsure IT support requests are handled within agreed timelines.\n\nPromote good customer service and professional conduct within the IT function.\n\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.\n\nProfessional IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft, Fortinet, Cisco or equivalent will be an added advantage.\n\nStrong knowledge of computer hardware, networking and IT infrastructure.\n\nKnowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and common business applications.\n\nExperience with ERP systems, preferably SAP , is an added advantage.\n\nKnowledge of CCTV, access control and other security systems is an added advantage.\n\nEXPERIENCE\n\n3–5 years of relevant IT experience , preferably in a manufacturing, factory, warehouse, logistics or other industrial environment .\n\nAt least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity is preferred.\n\nExperience supporting multiple departments/users within a busy operational environment.\n\nExperience setting up and maintaining networks and IT infrastructure.\n\nExperience working with external IT vendors and service providers.\n\nLAN/WAN and Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting.\n\nTCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and basic network administration.\n\nRouter, switch and firewall administration.\n\nWindows desktop and server
