This is TXP's most senior hands-on technical role within internal IT, responsible for keeping our own technology running to the standard we deliver for clients.\nYou will work closely with TXP's IT Manager to translate strategic direction, including AI adoption and emerging Microsoft technology priorities, into practical, well engineered changes to the estate. This role suits someone who wants to stay close to the technology and the keyboard, not manage from a distance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide hands-on desktop, infrastructure and application support across approximately 200 laptops and 400 user accounts, acting as the senior technical point of escalation.\nAct as the senior hands-on technical authority for TXP's internal IT estate, setting direction on architecture, standards and tooling.\nOwn the end user compute strategy across approximately 200 corporate laptops, including build standards, patching, lifecycle management and refresh planning.\nTake direct, hands-on ownership of TXP's Azure estate, including identity, networking, core infrastructure and cost management.\nTrial and implement AI-enabled productivity and automation tools identified as priorities by the IT Manager, providing technical feedback on what works in practice.\nOwn the technical security posture of TXP's end user compute and cloud environment, including endpoint protection, patching and vulnerability management.\nRequirements:\nProven hands-on experience in a senior technical role managing Azure and Microsoft 365 at scale, ideally within a technology consultancy or professional services environment.\nDeep, current technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, including identity, networking and core infrastructure services.\nStrong administration experience across Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Intune.\nPractical experience managing end user compute at scale, including device lifecycle management and BYOD strategy.\nSolid understanding of IT security and compliance practice, including endpoint protection, access governance and patching.\nComfortable acting as the senior technical escalation point for a small team without formal line management responsibility.\nGenuine enthusiasm for AI tools and emerging Microsoft technologies, with a track record of implementing new tools into a live environment.\nWorking knowledge of ITIL-aligned change and problem management in a live environment.\nExperience operating within an ISO 27001 information security management system, including providing audit evidence.\nEnergetic, dynamic and self-motivated, with a genuine preference for staying close to hands-on technical delivery.\nStrong communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues at all levels.\nBenefits:\nUncapped OTE- high earning potential for top performers.\n25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).\nAn additional day of paid leave for your birthday (or Christmas eve).\n4% Matched employer contributed pension (salary sacrifice).\nLife assurance (3x).\nAccess to an Employee Assistance Programme.\nPrivate medical insurance through our partner Aviva.\nCycle to work scheme.\nCorporate eye-care vouchers.\nAccess to an independent financial advisor.\n2 x social value days per year to give back to local communities.\nGrow with us:\nWork on exciting new projects\nIf you want to avoid getting stuck with the mundane, you’re in the right place.
