Frontend Developer – React / TypeScript

SUMMARY:

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Developer with strong React and TypeScript skills to join a customer application development project.

You’ll take ownership of frontend development tasks, building reliable, maintainable interfaces and contributing throughout the development lifecycle from planning and technical design to implementation, testing and defect resolution.

This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about code quality, communicates clearly and works confidently within an Agile delivery team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

As part of an agile software development team, you will:

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Build reusable UI components using libraries such as MUI or PrimeReact.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Work with Vite and React Router to support application development and navigation.
• Write and maintain unit tests using Vitest or similar tools.
• Contribute to technical design, troubleshooting and defect resolution.
• Take ownership of agreed frontend deliverables, meeting quality, functionality and delivery expectations.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Manage your workload, communicate progress and raise risks or blockers early.
• Collaborate with TXP colleagues and client stakeholders, explaining technical decisions clearly.
• Contribute to development standards and share knowledge with the wider team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Extensive hands-on experience developing applications with React and its ecosystem, including Vite and React Router.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Solid experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Significant experience with component libraries such as MUI, PrimeReact or equivalent.
• Experience writing unit tests with Vitest or similar frameworks.
• A strong understanding of software design principles, maintainable code and development best practices.
• Demonstrable experience ensuring application quality through testing and defect resolution.
• Experience working within Scrum-based Agile teams.
• The ability to understand how frontend decisions affect the wider application.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
