The Maintenance position is responsible for general maintenance of the building and grounds of the office building to provide a safe and comfortable work environment for staff. The General Maintenance position is to help maintain the physical appearance of Tyler’s properties to a high standard and maintain the building systems such as boilers, HVAC, domestic water, sewer and electrical. Must be able work independently but within established guidelines. Make sure employees are reasonably comfortable at their workstations. Ensure the office buildings remain neat and organized. Make sure grounds and parking lots remain neat and safe during all times of the year.\nResponsibilities\nSet-up of new and reconfigured workstations\nEnsure new hires and employee desk moves are set up appropriately.\nMaintain grounds and parking lots, working with vendors for snow plowing and sanding.\nPreform snow removal from walks and emergency exits\nOversee lawn care, landscaping, trimming, weeding, irrigation and pond cleaning duties.\nGeneral maintenance of building interior including but not limited to changing light bulbs, painting, fire suppression systems and oversee fitness equipment.\nBackup van driver if needed\nTest fire and safety systems on a regular schedule\nMaintain fleet vehicles and equipment\nOversee storage areas, keep them organized and keep inventory to a reasonable level\nWork closely with the Facilities Manager to provide a safe clean comfortable work environment for employees\nTo safely run power equipment including but not limited to lawn mowers, chainsaws, and vehicles (tractor, truck, or van).\nTeardown, build or reconfigure furniture/cubicles as instructed.\nWork from staging/ladders.\nWork on hands and knees.\nLift 70 pounds.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nOccasional weekend hours and overtime before and/or after hours as needed.\nComplete tasks with minimal direction\nWork as part of a team to ensure daily facilities functions are accomplished\nWork well with vendors, visitors and employees at all levels of the organization.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nTradesmen licenses and/or certifications a plus.\nMechanical troubleshooting knowledge desired.\nValid Driver’s License with clean driving record.\nAbility to navigate around a computer;
