We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.\nJob Summary\nTYLin is seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op/Intern to join our team for a 4-month work term beginning in January.Responsibilities & Qualifications\nWhat You Will Do\nAssist with the preparation of proposals and project schedules\n\nAssist with the preparation of feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary/detailed design for highways, roads, and intersections\n\nAssist with area transportation studies, traffic operations and parking demand investigations, analyses and recommendations, and site impact analyses\n\nPerform calculations and analysis using engineering formulas for design of municipal infrastructure such as roads, sewers, watermains in support of land development projects\n\nPrepare grading and servicing plans in support of land development projects\n\nPrepare sanitary and storm design sheets\n\nPrepare erosion & sedimentation control plans\n\nAssist in preparing contract specifications and tender packages, such as quantity take-offs, cost estimates, etc.\n\nAssist in applying for and obtaining the necessary permits and approvals to proceed with construction\n\nReview plot plans for houses\n\nAssist with and provide progress status reports on a regular basis and as required\n\nWhat You Bring to the Team (Competencies)\nExceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment\n\nStrong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior\n\nCommitment to innovation and continuous learning, with a passion for acquiring new skills and driving improvements\n\nYour Education and Experience\nCurrently enrolled towards a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering\n\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D and/or ArcGIS an asset\n\nPrior experience in preparing transportation studies and functional servicing reports a plus\n\n Additional Information\nTYLin is committed to pay equity.
