We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.\nJob Summary\nOur Construction Management team is looking for a Construction Engineer to work on various Transportation Road & Highways projects. This position will be on-site, and the responsibilities includes inspecting construction activities, verifying that work completed by contractors is in accordance with contract documents for roadway and bridge projects; material testing and sampling; tracking quantities and documenting contractors' work.This position will be based out of our office in Phoenix, AZ and will be expected to work in various areas throughout Arizona.\nThis posting is intended to gather expressions of interest from the Construction Engineer position for anticipated opportunities expected to arise over the next 3-6 months. While an immediate vacancy may not be available, we are building relationships with talented professionals who are interested in joining our growing PMCM team as new projects and hiring needs materialize.\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nResponsibilities:\nComplete daily inspection reports, materials sampling and testing for acceptance. \nConfirm traffic control complies with State and Local Standards. \nAssure documentation, and accuracy of daily findings. \nDaily documentation of contractor manpower and equipment. \nAbide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations. \nRead and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications. \nAssure compliance with standards and specifications. \nAssure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments. \nAssist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate. \nDraft Contract Change Orders\nAccurately track change order payments. \nLog and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.\nOther duties as needed. \nQualifications:\nAt least 2+ years of experience in the inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects. \nATTI, ACI and ATSSA certification preferred. \nPrevious internship experience in the inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects. \nClient focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions. \nStrong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges. \nHigh levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way. \nDemonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence. \nReliable transportation required and may be required to work holidays and/or nights and/or weekends. \nA Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering preferred\nAdditional Information\nTYLin offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
