We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.\nJob Summary\nThis posting is intended to gather expressions of interest from the Construction Manager, Water position for anticipated opportunities expected to arise over the next 3-6 months. While an immediate vacancy may not be available, we are building relationships with talented professionals who are interested in joining our growing Water team as new projects and hiring needs materialize. Responsibilities & Qualifications\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOversees office services during construction for the client that will be performed from an on-site field office.\nProvides technical reviews of the project deliverables.\nTrouble-shoots design issues that arise during construction.\nProactively manages Client expectations and assuring client satisfaction related to project.\nPerform on-site field visits with clients and contractors as needed to resolve field conflicts.\nAttend on-site weekly construction meetings.\nMentoring of junior technical staff as required.\nResponsible for project quality. Assures QA/QC processes are completed on each project.\nLead conversations on client’s behalf with Contractor to resolve conflicts, answer questions, and enforce contract documents.\nUnderstand and enforce contract documents.\nLead project controls and documentation of project submittals, invoices, RFIS, etc.\nRespond to RFIs within requirements of contract documents.\nWork with design team to ensure design intent is achieved during construction.\nWork with design team ensuring ability to provide adequate constructability (construction sequencing, scheduling, etc.)\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely-related field with 8+ years’ experience working with MEP projects.\nAbility to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings, and shop drawings.\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint sites, and Bluebeam Revu.\nPREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nProfessional Engineer License in the state of Virginia.\nPast experience with Wastewater treatment plants. Preferably in the City of Richmond.\nExperience managing all phases of construction work on multiple contracts simultaneously as well as project management of complex water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.\nAdditional Information\nTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $88,800 - $133,200 annually for this position and local market.
