In this role, you will be responsible for business development, technical leadership and project management. An important part of your duties will be to supervise and review the work of your team of engineers and technologists. In addition to this, you will also be expected to maintain best practices when it relates to our Quality Control/Quality Assurance program at TYLin.Responsibilities & Qualifications\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \nBusiness Development\nWork with the Water Sector Manager to develop and execute the strategic plan.\n\nBuild and maintain key relationships with clients (municipal agencies as well as industrial clients, developers and landowners) and industry organizations to pursue opportunities and grow the business.\n\nPromote technical practices, innovation sharing and knowledge management.\n\nCollaborate regionally, nationally and internationally on water pursuits, including programs, and sustainability initiatives.\n\nParticipate in business development and identify and follow through on strategic opportunities.\n\nLead proposal efforts and prepare budgets and schedules.\n\nProject Management\nProvide project management, including interface with clients.\n\nWork with senior management to develop and negotiate contract budgets and scopes of work.\n\nManage the development of production work plans.\n\nLead project execution for successful project delivery and client satisfaction, including financial management, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing.\n\nProvide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams, including subconsultants.\n\nOversee performance of complex design.\n\nProvide input for annual planning and quarterly forecasting.\n\nGuide the team to establish consistency and quality assurance processes in the production of all deliverables, and manage the quality control of all submission materials.\n\nCollaborate with other Project Managers and Supervisors within TYLin to identify staffing needs and training requirements.\n\nTechnical Leadership\nDirect, train and mentor team members on the various facets of water infrastructure.\n\nAttend and participate in industry related conferences and events.\n\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\n\n QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) in the province of Ontario (or the ability to obtain).\n\n15+ years of relevant experience in Municipal water projects, with at least five 5 years in a Project Management position.\n\nStrong technical expertise with in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and standards.\n\nProject management experience in managing diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.\n\nStrong written and spoken communication skills.\n\nDemonstrated success in leading and motivating technical teams with a professional and results-driven approach.\n\nExcellent organization, time management and negotiation skills.\n\nClient focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.\n\nStrong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.\n\nHigh levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.\n\nDemonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.\n\n Additional Information\nTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $174,400-$218,000 for this position and local market.
