We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance team in Panama. In this role, you will partner closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to support the financial management of projects throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities include project setup, contract and billing administration, revenue recognition, project accounting compliance, invoicing, accounts receivable management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong project accounting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality financial support in a fast-paced consulting environment.Responsibilities & Qualifications\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport Project Managers with contract administration, change orders, contract modifications, approvals, and project-related accounting and billing matters.\nPartner with Project Managers to monitor and address overdue Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable balances.\nInterpret and apply project contract terms, billing requirements, and financial obligations.\nParticipate in project kick-off meetings to ensure proper financial setup and compliance.\nPrepare and/or review Project Setup Modification Forms (PSUMF) to ensure project budgets and revenue recognition are aligned with TYLin policies and FASB ASC 606 requirements.\nProvide guidance and training to Project Accounting Assistants and Billers on Deltek Vision project setup, billing terms, and project accounting processes.\nSet up, review, and approve new projects and billing terms entered by support staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.\nPrepare and review draft invoices and billing packages, including supporting documentation, before submission for management approval.\nCommunicate monthly project financial performance, variances, and related issues to Project Managers and assist in resolving discrepancies.\nPrepare Subconsultant Accounts Payable forms and review consultant invoices to ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company procedures.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of project accounting or project cost accounting experience.\nExperience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Consulting industry is highly preferred.\nDemonstrated experience supporting medium to large-scale projects with evolving scopes, schedules, and consultant requirements.\nKnowledge of Deltek Vision is an advantage.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nClient-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and solutions.\nStrong sense of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.\nProven ability to collaborate effectively within diverse and inclusive teams while contributing to operational and technical excellence.\nAdditional Information\nTYLin offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
