We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for a variety of industrial, infrastructure, utility, and facility projects. This individual serves as the Lead Electrical Engineer on projects with electrical design fees up to approximately $500,000 and is accountable for technical quality, project execution, client satisfaction, and team coordination.The successful candidate will lead small electrical design teams, provide mentorship to junior staff, manage scope, schedule, and budget performance, and collaborate with clients, utilities, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project delivery while contributing to the continued growth of the electrical practice.\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nDuties and Responsibilities\nServe as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects.\nLead and mentor a team of 1-3 electrical engineers and designers.\nManage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.\nProvide regular project status updates to team leadership.\nCoordinate with clients, electric utilities, contractors, construction managers, vendors, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies.\nLead the development of technical reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.\nConduct and support site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase services.\nCoordinate electrical designs with instrumentation and controls, civil, process mechanical, HVAC, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.\nSupport proposal development and cultivate strong client relationships.\nCollaborate effectively with geographically dispersed team members using virtual communication and collaboration tools.\nPromote quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across project deliverables.\nSkills and Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.\n8+ years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required.\nAbility and willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses as needed.\nDemonstrated experience leading projects and managing technical teams.\nStrong client-facing consulting, communication, and leadership skills.\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/editing software.\nExperience with AGi32, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent software preferred.\nTechnical Expertise\nPower Distribution System Design (Medium Voltage experience preferred)\nPower System Studies and Analysis\nEmergency Power Systems and Generators\nGrounding and Bonding Systems\nLightning Protection\nPower Quality\nLighting and Lighting Controls\nLife Safety Systems\nMotor Control and Protection Systems\nConstruction Sequencing and Construction Support\nWorking knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, Building Codes, IES, IECC, and ASHRAE standards\nPreferred Certifications\nENV SP\nPMP\nLEED AP\nDBIA\nCESCP\nCEM\nThis position is ideal for an experienced engineer seeking greater project leadership responsibility, client engagement, and opportunities to mentor and develop the next generation of electrical engineers.\nAdditional Information\nTYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,600- $176,400 annually for this position and local market.
