This role will manage purchase orders, supplier communications, contract administration, and procurement execution for specialized materials, equipment, and services required for the manufacture and testing of a variety of technical components and programs.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a technical environment, and has experience procuring engineered components, precision hardware, specialty materials, or scientific equipment.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute procurement activities supporting stellarator/Infinity program development and manufacturing.\nCreate and manage purchase orders, requisitions, supplier quotations, and procurement documentation.\nSource and procure technical components, instrumentation, test equipment, and other technical products and services.\nObtain and evaluate supplier quotations for cost, lead time, technical capability, and quality requirements.\nExpedite critical orders and proactively manage supplier delivery commitments.\nMaintain accurate procurement records within ERP and purchasing systems.\nCoordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams to support program requirements.\nTrack supplier performance and assist with issue resolution.\nSupport supplier onboarding and qualification activities.\nAssist with contract administration, NDAs, and purchasing agreements.\nGenerate procurement reports on supplier performance, spend, and delivery metrics.\nEnsure compliance with company purchasing policies and contractual requirements.\nWhat you’ll need:\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.\nExperience managing purchase orders and supplier communications.\nStrong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.\nFamiliarity with ERP or procurement systems.\nExcellent organizational and analytical skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience procuring materials or equipment for aerospace, energy, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, defense, or research organizations.\nUnderstanding of engineered-to-order or low-volume/high-complexity hardware environments.\nKnowledge of supplier quality requirements and contract terms.\nAPICS, CPSM, CPM, or similar certification\nWe offer:\nIn addition to a basic salary and yearly bonus, you will also get…\nA hybrid work policy\nStock options \nRelocation allowance \nInsurance plans \nRetirement options \nAnd many more great voluntary benefits \nType One Energy applies proven advanced manufacturing methods, modern computational physics and high-field superconducting magnets to develop its optimized stellarator fusion energy system.
