The position should be skilled in manufacturing automation design, estimates, integration, troubleshooting, engineering, programming, and consulting. Other responsibilities include developing and managing outside contractors and integrators.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nCreate and maintain electrical drawings.\nCreate and maintain ladder logic.\nAssures the successful completion of assigned projects, tasks, and activities on time, within budget, while delivering the predefined project performance goals.\nProduces and is accountable for proper and accurate engineering work and record keeping.\nSupports continuous electrical design improvement effort.\nCreate and maintain Bills of Materials and requisition electrical components.\nMaintains engineering documentation accuracy concerning revisions and design changes.\nExceptional technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and reasoning ability..\nUnderstands engineering concepts and electrical systems.\nMust be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects or tasks.\nEstablish protocols, processes, and standards that create and maintain a safe work environment, product quality, and stable control conditions within the production equipment.\nWork with process/product engineering and maintenance to make necessary changes to equipment for improvements, system upgrades, preventative procedures, product changes, and new product launches.\nMaintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation completing programming changes as necessary.\nMaintain electrical schematics.\nTroubleshooting vision software used within the manufacturing facility.\nMaintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings in an electronic and/or paper format and throughout facility.\nMaintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated equipment including devices, I/O, instruments, and all other components associated with automated processes to meet production and safety goals.\nImprove equipment uptime and contribute to Plant reliability maintenance.\nAbility to diagnose problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems. Knowledge of electronic and instrumentation principles to determine equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.\nContribute to specifications for equipment purchases, which include review and commentary on equipment controls drawings prior to build approval.\nWill assist in estimating control system costs when developing capital project scopes.\nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Related certifications are preferred, but not required.\nExperience: At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, programming experience with an ability to program PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems highly preferred, these skills generally come from someone working in the manufacturing industry. \n Computer Skills: Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, process daily work orders, and complete required documentation.
