Customer Category Manager

We're hiring: Customer Category Manager - Ahold Delhaize USA (Stop & Shop, The Giant Company, Giant Food)

Location: Remote (Eastern or Central time zone preferred)

Summary:

Tyson Foods is looking for a data-driven category expert to join our Category Leadership team and help shape the future of our partnership with Ahold Delhaize USA.

In this role, you'll turn shopper, consumer, and syndicated data into real strategy helping our retail partners grow their categories while driving distribution, volume, and share for Tyson Foods. You'll be the trusted advisor at the table, translating insights into decisions that move the business forward. This position will have a high level of interaction with retailers and working cross functionally with internal stakeholders.

This role sits at the intersection of insight and execution. You'll directly influence category strategy for one of our most important retail partners, strengthen a key business relationship, and drive measurable growth for both the retailer and Tyson Foods.

Role responsibilities:

• Partner directly with retailer teams, bringing shopper and market insights to life
• Analyze category, competitive, and market trends to guide assortment and space strategy
• Build category business plans alongside our internal Sales team
• Own end-to-end delivery of Category Reviews, Business Reviews, Top-to-Top presentations, and New Item launches
• Lead post-promotional analysis and ongoing performance scorecarding
• Mine data from retailer loyalty programs, POS, Panel, and syndicated sources (Circana, Nielsen, 84.51, Numerator) to fuel actionable recommendations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in Category Management, Sales, or Consumer Insights (food industry experience a plus)
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong presentation, influence, and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with syndicated data platforms
• Sharp analytical instincts paired with creative problem-solving
• Ability to travel 6-12 times per year
