Engineer III will be a member of the Manufacturing Services Team supporting the Manufacturing Solution business processes for all of Tyson. The position works within a team environment as a business partner and liaison to the IS organization to implement enterprise solutions to existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and systems integration.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nImplement modifications to systems and processes to capitalize on opportunities.\nAnalyze existing manufacturing processes and systems to identify waste redundancy and process bottlenecks.\nAct as key liaison and support to Operations and act as catalyst to implement change.\nCapable of offering advice to the business with an emphasis on functional expertise and technical experience for process improvement.\nConduct feasibility studies to define the purpose functions and overall structure of business process.\nPerform analysis of business processes leading to process change and system implementation to include end user training.\nCreation of proper documentation as required by IS methodologies including but not limited to functional specifications business scenarios and implementation plans.\nResponsible for continuous improvement of functional knowledge and technical proficiency in enterprise applications: Materials Management, Quality Management and Production Scheduling as well as the promotion of the effective utilization of technology throughout the organization.\nAssess organizational process capabilities and mentor and train team members in process improvement methodologies and tools.\nProvide management with accurate and timely status reports of all projects assigned to them.\nWastewater management: duties include overseeing and optimizing pre-treatment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, managing sludge/biosolids\nRefrigeration System: Manage a PSM program for anhydrous ammonia and associated refrigeration equipment for the site.\nAutoCAD:\nCreate and modify 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD and related CAD tools\nInterpret sketches, specifications, and engineering data to produce accurate plans\nRevise drawings based on redlines, markups, and design changes\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and company CAD guidelines\nPrepare construction documents, shop drawings, and bid packages when required\nCollaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify design intent\nMaintain drawing libraries, version control, and organized file systems\nConduct field measurements or site assessments to verify as-built\nCapital Requirements:\nProject Planning and Coordination: Developing project objectives, timelines, and strategies; coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow\nBudget and Financial Oversight: Preparing and managing project budgets, cost estimates, funding allocations, and financial reporting to maintain fiscal responsibility\nRisk Management: Identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns\nProject Management: Expertise in scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.\nFinancial Acumen: Ability to manage large budgets and ensure cost efficiency.\nLeadership and Team Management: Guiding multidisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration.\nProblem-Solving and Decision-Making: Addressing complex challenges and making high-stakes decisions.\nIndustry Knowledge: Understanding construction, engineering, or relevant sector-specific practices\nRequirements\nEducation: B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree OR Master s with B.S. in Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred.\nExperience: 6-10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Management of Consumer Products Manufacturing experience desired. \nKnowledge of manufacturing execution in an environment of Supply Chain Optimization Production Planning Detailed Production Scheduling and Process Costing desired.\nComputer Skills: Standard computer skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required; ability to create written documentation; familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems and SAP MM QM and PP PI modules a plus.\nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels of the organization.\nSpecial Skills: Extensive knowledge of and experience of the business processes related to consumer products manufacturing; excellent consultative leadership and interpersonal skills; organized results-oriented focus.\nTravel: Travel is required for various training.\nAll professional team members are expected to demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, adhering to company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs.
