IT Data Analyst I MXT

Job Details:

The IT Data Analyst I is proficient in SQL and can effectively translate business requests into SQL queries. They have a solid understanding of data management practices aligned with organizational standards and policies. This role involves writing use cases for functional requirements that are accessible to both technical and non-technical personnel. They are also expected to execute basic data governance principles, including data stewardship and cataloging, and have the ability to create effective business cases and presentations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data management that aligns with the organization's data standards and policies.
• Write use cases for functional requirements that both technical and non-technical personnel can utilize.
• Write effective business cases to support data initiatives.
• Elicit, document, and manage detailed business requirements/business process mapping.
• Manage and execute testing (e.g., build test cases, test automation, etc.).
• Create actionable and appealing presentations and execute presentation delivery.
• Execution of data governance principles, data stewardship, and data cataloging.
• Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification. Experience: Less than one year of relevant or practical experience. Special Skills:
• Strong foundation in SQL and the ability to translate business requirements into data queries.
• Skills in data management according to organizational standards and policies.
• Experience writing use cases, documenting business requirements, and basic project management. Soft Skills:
• Problem-solving: Developing basic skills in identifying issues in IT systems or processes through data analysis and proposing straightforward solutions.
• Communication: Clearly articulating findings from IT data analysis to team members and stakeholders.
• Curiosity: Demonstrating a strong desire to explore new IT data sources, methodologies, and technologies.
• Self-motivation: Taking initiative on IT data projects and working independently when required.
• Organizational Skills: Managing multiple IT datasets, tasks, and project components efficiently.
