Our products are distributed throughout the United States and worldwide.\nPosition Overview\nComposition Brands is seeking a hands-on and technically strong Quality Engineer to support product performance, safety, reliability, and compliance throughout the manufacturing process.\nThe Quality Engineer will serve as a technical resource for product validation, failure analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, working eight-hour shifts. Overtime may be required based on business needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure finished products meet engineering specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements at final assembly.\nLead root cause investigations for product and process defects using structured problem-solving methods, including 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.\nDrive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues and improve product quality.\nMonitor and improve first-pass yield, scrap, rework, and warranty performance.\nSupport and improve end-of-line testing processes to ensure accurate and repeatable product validation.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality concerns and implement process improvements.\nAnalyze quality data and trends to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.\nDevelop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection standards.\nParticipate in new product introduction activities, including PFMEA development, validation planning, and risk mitigation.\nSupport compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards for refrigeration products, including UL and NSF requirements.\nSupport supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, issue resolution, and supplier corrective actions.\nConduct manufacturing process audits and layered process audits to ensure adherence to established standards.\nAssist in reducing warranty claims by identifying failure modes and implementing design or process improvements.\nProvide technical support and training to production employees regarding quality standards and best practices.\nServe as a quality liaison between Production and Engineering to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.\nRequirements\nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)\n2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or engineering role (refrigeration, appliances, or similar industry preferred)\nStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC)\nExperience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly, brazing, refrigeration systems, and leak testing is preferred\nUnderstanding of refrigeration system fundamentals (compressors, evaporators, condensers, refrigerants) is a plus\nExperience with end-of-line (EOL) testing, validation processes, and functional performance testing\nKnowledge of applicable regulatory and safety standards (UL, NSF, ISO 9001, etc.)\nAbility to analyze data and use statistical methods to drive decision-making\nProficiency in quality and data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar)\nStrong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach\nEffective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, production environment and manage multiple priorities\nExperience with ERP/MES systems and quality tracking systems
