Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at-all from Day One.\nJob Description\nRole Overview:\nThe Senior Payroll Administration Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant end-to-end payroll processing across designated countries or employee populations in conjunction with an outsourced payroll provider. The role provides subject matter expertise, supports process improvements, and ensures strong governance, audit readiness, and stakeholder engagement across Payroll, HR, Finance, and external vendors.\nKey Responsibilities\nPartner with an external payroll provider to process salaries for an expanding country.\nManage full payroll lifecycle including pre-payroll, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities\nValidate payroll inputs (e.g. salary changes, benefits, deductions, absences) to ensure completeness and accuracy\nPerform gross-to-net calculations, ensuring correct application of earnings, deductions, statutory deductions, taxes, and benefits.\nReview and reconcile payroll outputs, identifying and resolving discrepancies prior to approval.\nEnsure bank account funding is in place with Finance Teams and salary/tax payments deposited.\nSupport off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, and correction runs.\nOversee payroll vendor activities and ensure adherence to service levels.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation, reports, explanations and participating in audits.\nIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency, and controls including payroll documentation and automation initiatives.\nHandle internal and external inquiries.\nWork closely with the European Payroll Team and contribute to global projects.\nSupport system enhancements, integrations, and payroll-related projects\nEnsure proper storage and maintenance of payroll documentation in line with regulations. \nSupport training and onboarding of potentially any new team members including oversight of activities completed.\nSkills & Experience\nMinimum 5 - 7 years’ payroll experience.\nStrong knowledge of payroll processes, controls, and statutory requirements\nExperience with payroll systems (e.g. Workday or equivalent)\nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nExposure to payroll transformation or system implementations\nKey Competencies\nAccuracy and attention to detail\nStrong ownership and accountability\nProblem-solving and critical thinking\nAbility to work under pressure and meet strict payroll deadlines\nContinuous improvement mindset\nExcellent English communication skills (spoken and written).\nAdvanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.\nAbility to adapt to changing business needs.\nWorks effectively as part of a Team.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nPosting may be closed earlier due to high volume of applicants.\nThis is an U.S. Bancorp India posting.
