This role combines software development, automation, and infrastructure engineering to support enterprise security and vulnerability management capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Python development and API integration experience, with the ability to build solutions that automate processes and improve the reliability and efficiency of security operations.\nThis person will develop and maintain Python-based automation, integrations, and internal tools supporting our vulnerability management platform and scanning environment. They will work closely with a highly technical engineering team to automate manual processes, integrate systems through APIs, troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues, and gradually develop deeper expertise in vulnerability management and security tooling.\nMain Responsibilities:\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain Python-based automation, scripts, applications, and internal tools.\nBuild and maintain REST API integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems.\nIdentify manual processes and develop scalable automation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.\nSupport the engineering and administration of enterprise vulnerability management platforms.\nTroubleshoot applications, integrations, automation processes, and supporting infrastructure.\nSupport vulnerability scanning across servers, endpoints, applications, network devices, and other infrastructure.\nWork within Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.\nUse SQL to support platform data, integrations, reporting, and operational processes.\nMaintain and troubleshoot existing automation and background processes.\nParticipate in ongoing platform maintenance, enhancements, and engineering initiatives.\nDevelop toward increased ownership of vulnerability management platforms and supporting technologies.\nMust Have Skills:\n2+ years of hands-on Python development experience.\nExperience developing, integrating, or working with REST APIs.\nDemonstrated experience building automation, internal tools, integrations, or operational solutions.\nExperience troubleshooting applications, systems, or infrastructure in a technical environment.\nAbility to understand, maintain, and enhance existing code and automation.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues.\nNice to Have Skills:\nSQL experience.\nLinux, Unix, and/or Windows administration experience.\nVulnerability management or vulnerability scanning experience.\nExperience with Tenable or similar vulnerability management platforms.\nSecurity engineering or security automation experience.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale platforms or infrastructure.\nDevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or systems engineering experience.\nExperience with additional scripting or programming languages.\nLocation expectations \nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
