This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with Python and/or R, statistical analysis, automation, modeling, and complex data while partnering with the business to solve real-world problems.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to combine technical expertise with business and financial knowledge, develop and continuously improve analytical solutions, and communicate findings in a way that helps partners make informed, data-driven decisions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nGather, integrate, and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources.\nUse Python, R, SQL, and other analytical technologies to perform complex analysis and identify meaningful trends and patterns.\nDevelop and continuously improve analytical tools, models, reporting, and automated solutions.\nApply statistical and quantitative techniques to answer complex business questions.\nTranslate analysis into clear insights, recommendations, and potential courses of action.\nPresent technical findings in a concise, understandable way to both technical and business audiences.\nPartner across teams to develop a holistic view of problems and opportunities.\nMeasure the results of implemented recommendations and identify opportunities for adjustment or further improvement.\nEnsure data acquisition, sharing, analysis, and reporting are aligned with company standards.\nSchedule & Location\nLocation: 3+ days in office at either Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC\nSchedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST\nBasic Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.\nEight or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience.\nPreferred Skills/Experience \nWe’re especially interested in candidates who bring a strong combination of software development/coding, quantitative analysis, and business problem-solving, including:\nHands-on programming experience with Python and/or R, with the ability to develop, automate, and enhance analytical tools.\nStrong experience with SQL and working with complex or large datasets.\nExperience with analytics, advanced statistics, data science, predictive modeling, or quantitative modeling.\nStrong statistical and analytical skills, including the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data.\nExperience using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, geospatial tools, or similar analytical technologies.\nEducational background in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Business, or another quantitative discipline.\nAdvanced or graduate-level education in a quantitative or technical discipline is a plus.\nAbility to connect technical analysis with financial or business concepts and translate findings into actionable recommendations.\nDemonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage analytical work from initial question through recommendation.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nLocation Expectations\nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
