Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at-all from Day One.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust, scalable APIs to support enterprise-level financial applications.\n\nParticipate in the design and implementation of a complex hierarchical system, ensuring backward compatibility with legacy structures.\n\nCollaborate with architects, product managers, analysts, and designers to align technical solutions with business strategy.\n\nLead planning and execution of API integration across multiple teams, ensuring seamless adoption of new hierarchy models.\n\nContribute to front-end integration efforts using React.js or similar frameworks as needed.\n\nEnsure code quality through testable, production-ready development and adherence to security and compliance standards.\n\nTake initiative in identifying technical needs, proposing solutions, and guiding team members in best practices.\n\nCommunicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive clarity and alignment.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\n6+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend/API development.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExpertise in RESTful andGraphQLAPI development using Java and Spring Boot.\n\nExperience with microservice architecture and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio).\n\nFamiliarity with cloud-agnostic design principles and hybrid environments.\n\nIntegration experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).\n\nExposure to streaming platforms such as Kafka.\n\nProficiency in CI/CD tools (Maven, Jenkins) and API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger).\n\nExperience integrating APIs with modern JavaScript SPAs (React.js preferred).\n\nStrong understanding of agile development and DevOps principles.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.\n\nProven ability to work independently and lead technical planning efforts.\n\nSuccess in This Role Includes:\nGaining a deep understanding of both legacy and new hierarchy systems.\n\nDelivering a clear implementation plan for APIs and potential UI components.\n\nEstablishing cross-team collaboration to support system-wide updates and integration\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nPosting may be closed earlier due to high volume of applicants.\nThis is an U.S. Bancorp India posting.
