The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain modern software applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.\nBuild and integrate AI-powered capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and intelligent AI agents into business solutions.\nDevelop and support REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications following engineering best practices.\nCollaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nParticipate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.\nContribute to AI experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and production implementations that drive business value and innovation.\nImplement secure coding standards and comply with enterprise risk, security, compliance, and AI governance requirements.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, automated testing, application monitoring, and cloud operations to ensure reliable software delivery.\nBasic Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience \n- Two to three years of relevant experience \nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nExperience developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs.\nKnowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases with the ability to design and interact with scalable data solutions.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nUnderstanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and modern software engineering principles.\nExposure to Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).\nExperience using development tools such as Git, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.\nKnowledge of cloud-native architectures, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices-based application development.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a passion for learning emerging technologies and delivering customer-focused solutions.\nTechnologies Used: Java | SpringBoot | React | TypeScript | REST APIs | GitHub | GitHub Copilot | Azure | AI Services | Azure OpenAI | Azure AI Search | AWS Bedrock | SQL/NoSQL Databases | Docker | Kubernetes | CI/CD Pipelines.\nLocation expectations \nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
