The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and support enterprise API platforms using Apigee (Hybrid/OPDK) and modern cloud technologies.\nBuild and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot services, APIs, and integration solutions.\nImplement and enforce API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Keys, and threat protection controls.\nEngineer and support Kubernetes-based platforms across AKS, EKS, and GKE environments.\nOptimize API performance, reliability, scalability, and availability through monitoring and tuning.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.\nPartner with security, application, and infrastructure teams to implement enterprise authentication and authorization patterns.\nDrive operational excellence through SRE practices, observability, incident response, and production support.\nBasic Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience\n- Three to five years of relevant experience\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nExpertise in Java and Spring Boot development.\nHands-on experience with Apigee (Hybrid/OPDK), API Gateway, and enterprise API management platforms.\nStrong knowledge of API Security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Keys, and authentication/authorization patterns.\nExperience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE) and cloud-native application architectures.\nExperience supporting cloud environments in Azure, AWS, or GCP.\nProficiency with CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure automation practices.\nStrong understanding of Networking including DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, Load Balancing, F5 BIG-IP, Azure Application Gateway, Front Door, ALB, and NLB.\nExperience with Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and IAM solutions.\nExperience with MS SQL and MongoDB performance tuning and optimization.\nLocation expectations \nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
