Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at-all from Day One.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to support scalable, secure, and highly available platforms.\nArchitect and operate multi-region AWS environments, ensuring resiliency, fault tolerance, and business continuity.\nManage and optimize core AWS services including EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, Route 53, VPC, and IAM.\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.\nDevelop automation solutions using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployments, testing, and operational processes.\nBuild, administer, and enhance Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS, including Helm charts, ingress controllers, service mesh, and container security controls.\nImplement enterprise-grade observability and reliability practices utilizing Datadog, CloudWatch, logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting solutions to improve operational excellence.\nLead incident response and root cause analysis efforts while collaborating with engineering teams to improve platform resiliency, security, performance, and operational maturity.\nBasic Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience\n- Five to six years of relevant experience\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nStrong expertise in AWS cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, security, container, and serverless technologies.\nDeep knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.\nExperience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Helm, service mesh, container security, and cluster optimization.\nAdvanced experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, and modern DevOps practices.\nStrong proficiency in Linux administration, automation, and scripting using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.\nExperience implementing DevSecOps practices, including Tenable, BlackDuck/Fortify, SonarQube, IAM, secrets management, certificate automation, and cloud security controls.\nHands-on experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, CloudWatch, logging, tracing, and alerting frameworks, with the ability to support compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITRUST, or similar regulatory standards.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer\nExperience supporting banking, payments, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.\nExperience with Datadog, Venafi, cloud security platforms, and enterprise observability solutions.\nBackground in platform modernization, cloud migration, and large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives.\nExposure to AI-assisted engineering, automation tooling, and developer productivity platforms.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions, and drive operational excellence initiatives.\nLocation expectations \nThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
