This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems and production equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.\nThe Maintenance Technician works closely with Operations and other Maintenance team members to identify equipment issues, complete scheduled maintenance, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely in a mining and industrial environment.\nHours: Night Shift 6PM - 6AM\n Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and production systems.\nSafely perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous plant operations.\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with established maintenance schedules and procedures.\nTroubleshoot and repair production, mechanical, electrical, and safety-related equipment.\nRead and interpret blueprints, technical documents, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.\nAssist with the planning, installation, modification, and commissioning of new plant equipment and systems.\nSupport capital and maintenance projects while meeting established safety, schedule, and budget requirements.\nComplete work orders accurately and within established timelines.\nCommunicate effectively with Operations personnel regarding equipment status, maintenance activities, and repair needs.\nWork collaboratively with other Maintenance Technicians and Production Operators to coordinate maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to production and product quality.\nIdentify equipment reliability concerns and recommend repairs, modifications, or improvements.\nDocument equipment, system, and process changes and improvements.\nPerform welding, cutting, and other hot work in accordance with established safety procedures.\nIdentify critical spare parts and assist with ensuring appropriate inventory is available to support plant operations.\nOperate plant equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and other equipment as required.\nComplete required documentation for maintenance activities, parts requests, tools, repairs, inspections, and completed work.\nFollow all company safety requirements and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout/Tryout (LOTOTO), Confined Space, MSHA requirements, and other U.S. Silica safety policies.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support safe and effective plant operations.\n High school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of 3 years of maintenance technician experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, or similar heavy industrial environment.\nWorking knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requirements and practices.\nPrevious forklift operating experience.\nPrevious warehouse experience.\nBasic computer literacy and experience using computer software required to complete work orders, documentation, and other maintenance-related tasks.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.\nStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nBasic mathematical skills, including fractions and elementary geometry.\nAbility to perform welding and other hot-work activities safely.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team with employees of varying skill and experience levels.\nAbility to operate plant and maintenance equipment as required.\nStrong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and environmental compliance.\nAbility to work in outdoor conditions during all seasons and varying weather conditions.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders, work from elevated platforms, man lifts, and crane baskets, and safely perform work at heights.\nAbility to use hand and power tools, including shovels, hammers, wrenches, and other maintenance equipment.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.\nAbility to meet the physical requirements of the position and safely perform assigned maintenance
