This role provides hands-on exposure to how we translate customer business needs into technical designs. Under the mentorship of senior architects, the intern will shadow and assist in building solutions for specific Uber Freight customers or prospects, gaining invaluable experience at the intersection of supply chain logistics, software engineering, and customer strategy.\nWhat the Candidate Will Do\nAssist in gathering and documenting customer business and technical requirements to help build \"Detailed Future State\" documentation.\n\nCollaborate with sales, onboarding, PTMS engineers, and project management teams to ensure product development efforts align with customer business requirements.\n\nShadow senior Solution Architects during structured requirements-gathering sessions with customers and vendors.\n\nHelp research, process, and analyze data (including value stream mapping and process analysis) to support the design of integrated TMS/PTMS solutions.\n\nAttend, participate, and provide support at account status meetings and internal strategy sessions.\n\nParticipate in all other Uber Freight Intern meetings, seminars, learning opportunities, and end-of-summer project presentations.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nActively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.\n\nExpected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.\n\nAbility to work full-time (40 hours) between June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027.\n\nAbility to work in one of our central hubs Rogers, AR / Chicago, IL.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in translating complex business concepts into technical terms for developers and business analysts.\n\nProficiency Google Office Suite, with foundational AI tooling knowledge.\n\nFamiliarity with or interest in project management and ticketing tools, such as JIRA.\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.\n\nA self-directed, energetic attitude with a passion for thrilling clients and improving supply chain performance.\n\nBenefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees\nEmployees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
