Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This is a hybrid position based out of our customer’s office hub in Garland, TX, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.\nWhat the Candidate Will Do\nUse the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order\nExceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations\nEstablish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region\nEffective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation\nLeverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes\nMonitoring and resolving shipment data errors\nProactive analysis to prevent service failures\nProactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy\nProfessional and timely communications\nIdentify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement\nResolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials\nTrain new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\n3+ years of related experience in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain \nDomestic over the road transportation experience\nKnowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Workspace \nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management\nStrong understanding of cross-border transportation and the freight logistics industry \nExperience LTL, FTL and flatbed transportation \nReporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand reports, offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report)\nBenefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees\nEmployees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
