You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Sales.\nWhat You Will Do\nOwn design problems from beginning to end, from the initial concept through to shipping and beyond\nPartner with our UX research team to better understand our customers' needs\nCollaborate with product to define requirements, not just translate them into design\nUse data and experiments to learn what works and shape design decisions\nUse AI tools to explore ideas, prototype, and move faster\nDesign systems to create simple, elegant experiences that scale\nDesign experiences shaped by machine learning and AI, from personalized ranking to AI-generated content\nIdentify future opportunities and work as a key thought partner with your counterparts in product, engineering, machine learning, and operations\nBasic Qualifications\n3+ years of product design experience, including shipping consumer mobile products\nA portfolio showcasing high-quality designs and problem-solving ability, ideally with feeds, search, or listings\nExperience using data and experiments to shape design decisions\nStrong systems thinking, with the ability to turn many requests into a few formats that scale\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent presentation and storytelling skills\nAbility to manage stakeholders, requirements, and deliverables independently\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working on consumer facing marketplaces or commerce\nExperience working with ranking, recommendation, or personalization teams\nExperience designing for dynamic or AI-generated content\nExperience working on a global product\nAbility to create high-fidelity prototypes, including motion\n For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year.\nYou will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
