About the Role
The Regulatory team is at the forefront of navigating the complex, fast-moving legal and regulatory landscapes that shape the future of Uber’s Mobility and Delivery business lines. Our mission is to ensure seamless compliance, maintain our operational licenses, and proactively manage relationships with local regulators.
As a Program Manager on the Midwest-South Regulatory Team, you will act as a critical bridge between our legal experts and regional operations. You will ensure that Uber can continue to scale safely, legally, and efficiently across the 25 territories that comprise the region.
What the Candidate Will Do
In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of regulatory, legal, and operational projects, including:
- Regulatory Inquiry & Investigation Management: Project managing, organizing, and maintaining comprehensive responses to regulatory inquiries, data requests, requests for information, internal reviews, and reporting.
- Compliance & Licensing Research: Assisting the legal team with deep-dive research into local statutes, regulations, and city license requirements to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Public Filings & Submissions: Preparing electronic filings and public comments with local regulators.
- Certification & Application Oversight: Managing the end-to-end process of obtaining necessary permits.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in either big firm or in-house legal department
- Experience in researching statutes and/or regulations is essential
- B.A./B.S. or paralegal certificate

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $118,000 per year - USD $131,000 per year.
For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
