The ideal candidate combines hands-on frontline leadership with the ability to strengthen processes, leverage technology, and build the capabilities needed to support AV at scale.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFrontline Operations & Leadership\nLead AV frontline teams and their leaders, setting a high bar for performance, accountability, and execution.\nDrive performance across quality, SLAs, accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.\nBuild strong frontline leadership, coaching, performance management, and team capabilities.\nStrengthen day-to-day operating rhythms and ensure teams are equipped to perform effectively in complex environments.\nEnsure frontline readiness for new AV launches, partnerships, and geographic expansion.\nTechnology & Continuous Improvement\nPartner with program, product, and technology teams to improve frontline tooling, workflows, and decision-making.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify and automate frontline work, improving speed, quality, and scalability.\nSurface frontline insights and translate them into actionable product and operational improvements.\nScale & Partnership\nBuild scalable frontline processes, standards, and capabilities to support AV growth.\nPartner across program, product, technology, safety, and other teams to resolve operational challenges and drive shared outcomes.\nDevelop a strong leadership bench and frontline culture focused on quality, sound judgment, and continuous improvement.\nBasic Qualifications\nMinimum 5 years in project/program management experience\nBachelor's Degree\nPreferred Qualifications\n10+ years of operations experience, with significant experience leading frontline operations and frontline leaders.\nExperience in AV, mobility, robotics, or similarly complex operational environments.\nExperience leading real-time, high-stakes, or safety-sensitive frontline operations.\nExperience building scalable frontline operating models and capabilities.\nExperience leveraging AI or automation to improve frontline operations.\nExperience leading large and/or distributed teams, including managers of managers.\nProven track record of driving frontline performance across quality, SLAs, efficiency, and customer experience.\nExperience building, stabilising, or scaling frontline operations in complex or rapidly growing environments.\nStrong people leadership, coaching, performance management, and organisational development capabilities.\nDemonstrated ability to leverage technology, tooling, and automation to improve frontline operations.\nProven operational judgment and ability to influence senior cross-functional stakeholders.\n For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $130,000 per year - USD $144,000 per year.\nYou will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
