Uber Direct & Connect helps both consumers and SMBs get anything delivered, from dry cleaning drop-offs and retail returns to custom shopping lists and cross-country deliveries.\nAs a Senior Product designer for Uber Direct & Connect, you’ll help build one of Uber’s fastest-growing independent lines of business and will have the unique opportunity to work across three sides of the delivery marketplace, providing consumers and businesses around the world with access to our best-in-class logistics network. You’ll be responsible for defining the future of Connect, driving more affordable, flexible delivery options, and building features to accelerate our expansion to new markets.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead human-centered experience design for high-impact domains, defining new interaction patterns and service models where none exist today.\nOwn design problems end-to-end, from early-stage research and conceptual wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and final production-ready assets.\nPartner as a key thought leader with Product, Engineering, and Operations to define requirements and shape the strategic roadmap, not just translate them into mocks.\nDesign across digital and physical touchpoints, translating complex logistical and technical systems into clear, intuitive flows for mobile, web, and vehicle interfaces.\nMaintain and evolve Uber’s design language by contributing to shared systems and foundational patterns that ensure consistency across global platforms.\nPrototype rapidly to test hypotheses and validate ideas early, using data and user research to iterate and raise the bar for quality and trustworthiness.\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of professional product design experience, with a track record of shipping successful digital products for mobile and web.\nA portfolio showcasing high-quality design work, strong systems thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.\nProficiency with Figma and a range of prototyping tools to bring complex ideas to life.\nDemonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and lead design direction in fast-paced, evolving environments.\nStrong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in frontier or complex domains such as Autonomous Systems, AdTech, Fintech, or Enterprise/Operational tools.\nExperience designing across physical and digital touchpoints, including geospatial or location-aware systems.\nProven ability to collaborate with user researchers and data scientists to drive experimentation and A/B testing.\nAdvanced degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.\nExperience building and implementing components within a global, scalable design system.\n For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $180,000 per year - USD $200,000 per year.\nYou will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
