Please apply if you are interested in contributing to such cutting edge technology.\nWe are looking for a developer advocate to support other developers to increase developer efficiency by working with engineers across Uber to help them build Cadence-based services successfully, creating and improving resources to educate users and building a developer community of Cadence users.\nTo get more information about us you can visit our website (https://cadenceworkflow.io/), search numerous public blogs and videos prepared about Cadence.\nWhat the Candidate Will Do:\nBuild and grow the Cadence developer community through technical content, talks, workshops, and events.\nHelp developers understand, adopt, and successfully use Cadence in production.\nCreate hands-on examples, demos, tutorials, and other technical resources for Cadence users.\nEngage with the open-source community through GitHub, Slack, meetups, conferences, and other channels.\nWork closely with Cadence engineers and users to identify gaps, gather feedback, and improve the developer experience.\nRepresent Cadence at technical conferences and community events.\nHelp shape Cadence's developer advocacy strategy and roadmap.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in software engineering, developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related technical role.\nStrong software development experience, with proficiency in Go or another backend programming language.\nExperience building and explaining distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms.\nExperience creating technical content, demos, tutorials, or presentations for developers.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to engage effectively with open-source communities and software developers.\nGreat technical writing skills\nKnowledge on setting up and debugging distributed systems on cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)\nKnowledge of technologies like Cassandra, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, React and programming languages like Go, Java, Javascript\nExperience with building libraries and SDKs\nUnderstanding of distributed systems and a good understanding of its fundamentals\nExcellent communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Cadence, Temporal, SWF or Durable Functions\nCoding skills with a high bar for quality and scalability\nFamiliarity with metrics collection systems like Prometheus\nExperience with Thrift, gRPC, protobuf\n For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.\nFor Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.\nFor all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
