We are looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to join our Category Growth organization and drive high-priority initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement.\nDepending on the focus area, your work may range from using data to uncover insights and build reporting that informs business decisions, to owning operational programs and cross-functional initiatives that drive growth and improve the customer and merchant experience.\nYou will succeed in this role if you are highly analytical, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and equally willing to develop the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute it.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn high-priority initiatives end-to-end - define the problem, build a plan, coordinate stakeholders, drive execution, and measure outcomes\nBuild and maintain reporting and dashboards - create trusted views of performance, support recurring business reviews, and help the team understand what is happening and why\nTurn data into insights and action - analyze performance trends, identify opportunities, and synthesize findings into clear recommendations\nSpot gaps and build solutions - identify where measurement, process, or operating structure is missing or broken, then help create the framework needed to close it\nCollaborate cross-functionally - work across teams including Category, Growth, and Marketing to translate business priorities into action, align stakeholders, and unblock execution\nBasic Qualifications\n4+ years of experience in analytics, operations, strategy, business intelligence, project management, or a related field\nStrong SQL proficiency - comfortable writing queries independently to analyze business performance and answer business questions\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nBackground in grocery, retail, CPG, e-commerce, marketplaces, or a related industry\nExperience building and maintaining dashboards and reporting in tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms\nProficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for analysis, reporting, and ad hoc work\nDemonstrated ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences\nDemonstrated ability to own workstreams end-to-end and drive execution across stakeholders\nAdvanced SQL proficiency and experience working independently with complex datasets\nProficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis\nExperience designing or analyzing A/B tests and understanding statistical significance\nStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills\nTenacious problem-solver who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding a path forward\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy\nProven ability to balance multiple workstreams and consistently deliver against deadlines in a fast-paced environment\n For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.\nFor San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.\nFor all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
