Strategic Operations Associates are responsible for developing strategies, such as how we balance our marketplace, target and deploy earner promotions, manage local markets, and identify and solve operational weaknesses. They balance improving or innovating new processes with setting and delivering on goals to meet business needs.\nWhat You’ll Do\nStrategic Ownership: Help develop, lead, and implement strategy to achieve business priorities\nBusiness Influence: Monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans. Develop and apply understanding of the levers that move our business\nProblem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, practical solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend best approach\nProcess Optimization: Implement, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes, regularly reviewing performance \nProduct Improvement: Proactively search for new features or improvements that could improve the experience on and efficiency of our marketplace, measure their impact and collaborate with Product teams to implement launches \nStakeholder Management: Maintain productive working relationships with immediate team and cross-functional partners across operations, marketing, customer support, product, policy, and legal to scope, test and implement initiatives\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree required\n1+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business intelligence, strategy or related experience\nExcel proficiency (modeling, data visualization)\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge in applying SQL, Python, R, Stata or similar statistical languages and tools\nHigh-growth operations or startup experience is strongly preferred\nPhenomenal collaborator, and someone who proactively works across teams, able to influence senior and external stakeholders\nStorytelling through Data: Transform data analyses into an understandable storyline across tech and non-tech audiences in order to influence business decisions\nData-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture\nCommunication: Ability to interpret and present data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner\nTeamwork: Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and promote a team environment where individuals can communicate and contribute freely. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
