assess all tax aspects of new business lines and initiatives, ensuring we build for the real world under real-world constraints.\n\nProvide subject matter expertise to various lines of business for global and local tax requirements, including VAT, CIT, and withholding taxes, across a fast-moving international environment.\n\nSupport management in completing special tax projects and ad-hoc analysis, translating technical tax complexity into actionable insights for core business teams.\n\nBridge the gap between tax and business teams by using data and experimentation to measure the impact of taxes on Uber’s global growth and profitability.\n\nLead engagement with external audit requirements and tax authorities, navigating high-pressure situations with clarity, accountability, and grit.\n\nCoordinate with regional leadership to ensure all new products or initiatives stay aligned with both local requirements and our broader organizational vision.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in finance, tax or related field.\n\n4+ years of experience in a Big 4 firm, or in-house tax department.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with international tax operations and familiarity with tax issues for a multinational company operating globally.\n\nPrior experience within a Fortune 500 or US-based corporation.\n\nProven ability to take initiative and solve complex problems in a constantly changing work environment.\n\nStrong technical and analytical skills with a \"get things done\" mentality.\n\nExperience using business judgment to balance short-term velocity with long-term tax
