We partner closely to ensure that while AI and automation handle the routine, our Specialists provide the deep expertise and human touch required for the most important milestones in an employee's journey.\nWe are looking for a People Operations Employee Data Specialist to resolve complex and high-impact employee data transactions, ensure operational excellence, and partner to improve processes, systems, and compliance. This role is the subject matter expert (SME) on employee transaction data management - ensuring accuracy, compliance and scalable processes.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn and resolve Tier 2 escalations, providing clear, empathetic, and policy-aligned guidance that goes beyond a standard script.\nExecute complex transactions and lifecycle events-such as new hires, job changes, or terminations ensuring our system of record remains a system of trust.\nAct as a critical liaison between employees, vendors, and COEs to resolve intricate inquiries and ensure service consistency across the region.\nPartner to operationalize new programs and participate in UAT for system enhancements, ensuring regional nuances are built into global designs.\nResearch and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with Payroll, IT, and other People Ops teams.\nCollaborate to refine Tier 0 (Self-Service) and Tier 1 knowledge content, utilizing your expertise to help AI solve more problems before they reach your desk.\nAnalyze case trends in ServiceNow and HRIS data to identify recurring friction points and recommend scalable, predictive solutions to improve the employee experience.\nMonitor data quality through regular audits, identify issues, and recommend process improvements.\nAssist in preparing reports or dashboards for People Ops leadership as needed.\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and new functionality.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 2 years of HR experience, with direct experience in HR data management.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a shared services or centralized HR environment preferred.\nFamiliarity with HRIS systems (Workday, Oracle, or similar) and transaction processing.\nStrong attention to detail with proven data entry accuracy and compliance awareness.\nAbility to identify root causes and suggest process fixes rather than just treating symptoms.\nAbility to manage confidential information with discretion.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD $37.50 per hour - USD $39.43 per hour.\nFor Seattle, WA-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD $33.66 per hour - USD $35.58 per hour.\nFor all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
