People who join us typically enjoy building things, taking initiative, working in a team and independently.\nYou will join us at UbiOps as a DevOps engineer and will be responsible for installing, managing and improving the growing number of UbiOps installations and the services and infrastructure it uses. Ranging from our own and partner hosted cloud installations to private customer installations in the cloud and on-premise. Furthermore, you will support our customers in deploying their AI solutions on the UbiOps platform.\nUsing the experience you will gain of the installation process of UbiOps, you will be able to actively contribute to automating the installation processes. You like to interact with our customers, communicate clearly and deliver work of the highest quality.\nYou will join the AI Infrastructure team and will work closely with other teams within the organisation and clients.\nYour tasks & responsibilities\nIn this role you will work on both internal infrastructure, the technical infrastructure of the UbiOps platform and its deployment in customer environments. Our customers often run critical systems, sometimes in restricted or air-gapped environments, so reliability and security are essential.\nTypical responsibilities include:\nInstalling and configuring the UbiOps platform in different environments, including secure or air-gapped infrastructure\n\nWorking with customers and internal teams to prepare deployments, clarify prerequisites, and coordinate timelines\n\nUpdating platform components to meet customer security or infrastructure requirements\n\nContributing to the UbiOps codebase to support integrations with customer infrastructure, such as databases or other services\n\nCollaborating with the development team to continuously improve reliability, automation, and deployment workflows\n\nThis role suits engineers who enjoy combining infrastructure work, software development, and direct problem solving with customers.\n\nYour profile\nEducation in IT/Server/System Administration or equivalent working experience\n\n3+ year working experience in Cloud and/or on premises environments\n\nStrong communication and team-player mindset\n\nProfessional proficiency in English (Dutch proficiency is a plus)\n\nA curious, resourceful and quick learner. You enjoy experimenting and won’t give up easily!\n\nThe ability to independently install, configure and troubleshoot complex infrastructure environments.\n\nExperience with a majority of the following technologies and willing to learn the others:\n\nInfrastructure management in the cloud and on premises\n\nKubernetes cluster management (preferably with RKE2)\n\nExperience deploying or managing workloads on Kubernetes\n\nFamiliarity with GPUs and related technology (NVIDIA, vLLM)\n\nLinux (Debian/Ubuntu) system management\n\nNetworking and load balancing\n\nInfrastructure as code technologies such as Ansible and Helm\n\nAn intermediate level of Python and bash scripting\n\nCloud services in Google Cloud and AWS\n\nVirtualization (plain QEMU/KVM or Proxmox)\n\nOther technologies in our stack are Redis, Postgres, Ceph, Loki, VPNs and more\n\nNOTE: For this position, we will only consider candidates who are currently residing and/or working in the Netherlands.
