Join forces with us on our mission to build a better IT industry. We are currently looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to our team in Stockholm, Sweden.

Please note that applicants must live in Sweden and hold a valid work permit at the time of application to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable software to support streaming and recording on UniFi Protect, Ubiquiti's smart video surveillance and security platform
• Integrate feature designs with larger software systems
• Co-work with cloud architects, backend developers, frontend developers, designers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• B.Sc degree in Computer Science, or related engineering degree
• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience with C, C++, Linux and Unix
• Experience working with H.265
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits
• Experience in embedded Linux systems (ARM processors, cross-build, flash, boot, system initialization, rootfs packaging, fault-tolerance, IPC, work with embedded file systems) and embedded distributions (Yocto, Buildroot, OpenWRT)
• Experience with Git (merging, rebasing), ANSI C, toolchains, SW/HW debuggers, scripting
• Highly proficient in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Linux kernel
• Experience with any SoC, preferrably multimedia targeted
• Video processing, streaming, encoding/decoding
• Experience working with OpenCV
• Image processing, tuning, enhancement
• OOP/OOD, strong programming experience with C and C++
