At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity.\nThe Position\nUbiquiti’s Prague office is looking for a software engineer to join the team responsible for hosting UniFi and UISP applications in the cloud.\nThe team develops and operates the backend services and infrastructure that provision, upgrade, monitor, back up, and manage thousands of customer hosting instances worldwide.\nThis is not a traditional web-backend role. You will work across application code, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, networking, databases, and production systems. We are looking for someone who can investigate problems independently, make sound engineering decisions, and take ownership of changes from design through production.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain backend services for UniFi and UISP cloud hosting.\nBuild automation for provisioning, upgrades, backups, recovery, and lifecycle management of hosted instances.\nDesign and implement reliable deployment and migration workflows.\nWork with AWS infrastructure and containerized services.\nInvestigate production issues across application and infrastructure layers.\nImprove reliability, observability, scalability, and security of the hosting platform.\nReview technical designs and code and collaborate with other engineering teams.\nParticipate in evolving the architecture of the hosting platform.\nKnowledge and Experience\nRequired:\nStrong software development experience with Python.\nStrong Linux knowledge and experience debugging production systems.\nGood understanding of networking fundamentals.\nExperience with relational databases.\nExperience with containers and Docker.\nExperience with Git and modern software development workflows.\nAbility to troubleshoot issues across application, operating system, network, and infrastructure layers.\nGood written and verbal English communication skills.\nNice to have:\nExperience with Go.\nAWS experience.\nInfrastructure-as-code experience (e.g. Terraform).\nCI/CD and deployment automation experience.\nBash or other scripting experience.\nExperience operating services at a significant scale.\nExperience with monitoring and observability tooling.\nSecurity-minded approach to infrastructure and backend development.\nProject: UniFi and UISP Application Hosting\nUbiquiti provides managed cloud hosting for UniFi and UISP customers worldwide.
